Fall Festivities in Prescott, Arizona!

By in Uncategorized with 0 Comments

We don’t know about anyone else, but we’re sitting here thinking, “How is it already September?!”

In the blink of an eye summer has come and gone, taking Prescott’s most event-filled months along with it. From the art shows and showcases that went on every weekend, to the many festivals and Fourth of July week-long bash, our little town will become a little less busy as we settle down into these Fall and Winter months… or so one might think!

Though we might be sad to see the warm summer months and cooling monsoons come to an end (and what a great monsoon season it was!), the city of Prescott does not skip a beat as we jump straight into the autumn festivities, and the months that many call “the most wonderful time of the year!”

“Arizona’s Christmas City,” a title we have more than earned with our surplus of events, decorations, and Christmas feel. However, we don’t just do Christmas well; we take the entire seasons of Fall and winter, making them a celebration for everyone! When do we start off this amazingly festive and fun season? THIS WEEKEND! Below is a list of just a few of the major events going on in Prescott, Arizona from now till 2019 and we cannot wait!

Thanksgiving: November 22, 2018

Though there’s not really a celebration or event surrounding Thanksgiving in our town, it always deserves to be mentioned.

A time for family and friends, eating good food and being thankful for everything we have been blessed with, it’s a time for us to pause from our busy lives and just be. Be in the moment, be with our loved ones, enjoy each other’s company, and be grateful for all we have. In advance, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

30th Annual Acker Music Night 12/7

Date: Friday, December 7, 2018

Time: 5:30pm to 8:30pm

One of our absolute favorite events in Prescott is Acker Night! This long standing family tradition combines participating downtown businesses with the support of hardworking musicians who donate their time and talents. Walk around from building to building and enjoy the beautiful downtown area lit up by Christmas lights, the amazing bands and singers, the hot cocoa and treats at nearly every corner and shop, the dancing, and the overall cheer on this night in our little Christmas community.

The goal of the musicians and volunteers involved is to keep the music alive and thriving for the youth of Prescott. Funds raised on Acker Night provide scholarships for music lessons, instruments and local youth performing arts programs.

Christmas 12/25
