In Prescott, Arizona, we are known for our town events.
The amount of parades we have shows our town’s festive spirit and love for being a part of our amazing little community. From parades that celebrate the seasons like Christmas, to parades on memorial day and veterans day to honor those who’ve served.
We host our very own long distance bike race and marathon, named after the historic Whiskey Row. It’s a race that travels all around the Prescott area, showing off its stunning beauty, glorious pines, and timeless neighborhoods.
In the first week of July, Prescott becomes one huge celebration. With the world’s oldest rodeo in town all week, dances going on, fireworks on the fourth of July, and so much more, your week will not be boring!
For Halloween, nearly the entire street of Mtn. Vernon closes down for people to walk around in their costumes, trick-or-treat, and enjoy the spooky holiday.
Christmas is another story in itself! Prescott is, after all, Arizona’s Christmas city. There’s the Holiday Light Parade, the Lighting of the Courthouse, Acker Night, and all the little events in between.
With all those big events going on throughout the year, one might think that in between those events the town is dead, but that is not the case at all! From book clubs, story times, orchestras, basketball games, various groups who meet with others about their common interests, farmers markets, and so much more, there is ALWAYS something going on in Prescott to join, meet new people, and enjoy the town.
Events both big and small are one of the many reasons we love our town so much. There is always something to do, always people meeting and connecting about the things they love, always a community within our community to join.
